Leading the Way With Innovation

Description: Merging the mobile device cart and lectern to create new Flex Lecterns

CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI – Spectrum Industries, Inc., Chippewa Falls, WI based manufacturer, once again leads the way in optimizing classroom and training space with an innovative 2-in-1 solution. Meet the new Flex Lecterns, combining your instructor workstation and mobile device cart, all in one small footprint.

Taking the intelligent design of two of our mobile device carts, the Pro32 and Cloud40, and adding the functionality of Spectrum’s line of lecterns, a new line of Flex Lecterns has been developed. The versatile and powerful Pro32 Flex Lectern can store and charge a combination of 32 laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets up to 15.6”. Able to store more devices in a slightly smaller space, the Cloud40 Flex Lectern can store and charge a combination of 40 Chromebooks and tablets up to 14”.

“The Flex Lectern will eliminate the need for both a teacher lectern and mobile device cart to exist in the same environment saving on valuable space in classrooms that are often crowded with furniture,” said Robert Kensinger, Spectrum Industries Vice President of Sales. “Our goal is to continue to innovate our product line to best meet the needs of our customers.  The Flex Lecterns are the next logical step in that pursuit.”

Combining Cart and Lectern

Each Flex Lectern features a worksurface surround, enhancing privacy for instructors during lectures and presentations. Spectrum’s sturdy side flip-up shelf has also been added to quickly add needed worksurface space. Mobile devices are accessed from the opposite side of where the instructor stands, allowing students to take the devices without interfering with the instructor’s space and presentation. It also keeps the higher powered electrical systems out of reach of the students while allowing the instructor to still have access to power strips and adapters as needed.

Mobility and Security

The Flex Lecterns retain all the security and design features that are standard on Spectrum’s mobile device cart and lectern lines. High-pressure laminate worksurface is impact and scratch resistant and the powder coated, heavy-gauge steel construction along with the dual-bolt keyed lock and hasps provide superior protection and security.

Smart Charging and Wiring

Durable overhead wire management aids the wiring integration of the Flex Lecterns and allows charging plugs to hang in front of each laptop. A standard current-sensing charging system directs power to devices as needed.

The Pro32 and Cloud40 Flex Lecterns are designed, assembled, and shipped from our factory in Chippewa Falls, WI. They are warranted to be free of all defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years, electrical system 2 years. The Flex Lecterns are ETL listed to UL 60950-1 Standard.
